Not so long ago Designs on Pine was based within the city of Aberdeen and had enjoyed trading from the high street for some 14 years. We identified however that many customers no longer wished to visit the high street and even local customers were choosing to buy online, the decision was therefore taken to become an online company and to concentrate our efforts on building the best web site to offer the East of India range of gifts, home accessories and ribbons as well as continually seeking to find new and exciting complimentary products. We continue to sell our ever popular range of personalised keepsake boxes for births, weddings and christenings and can usually despatch even these products within 24 hours, depending on what time of day we receive the order. We draw on our extensive knowledge of retail to manage and maintain a web site which is built with the end customer in mind. We are far from being a faceless internet company and strive to provide exceptional personal service with every order.

We are conscious of the environment in which we live and strive to only sell products which are made from natural materials. Some 12 years ago when we first discovered East of India we were delighted to find a range of products manufactured from wood which complimented our business. Whilst East of India have changed over the years – as have we – they continue to be our main giftware supplier.

We try - as far as possible - to use as much recycled packaging as possible and hope that, if at all possible, you can find a use for the packaging thereafter.

We still keep a local connection and attend most of the farmers` market within the City. We`ll be back at a Taste of Grampian at Thainstone, Inverurie in June and following the success of the Country Living Fair in Glasgow in November 2008 have re-booked for 2009. For those that attended and plan to attend this year, you will be delighted to hear our stand will be slightly bigger to make room for even more gifts and goodies. We are currently looking at other shows and events throughout the year and when decisions are made the dates will be listed on the site.
