Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions hereunder govern the sale of all products from us (Designs on Pine) to you via this web site.

Please read the terms and conditions prior to placing an order as any order placed will be bound by these terms and conditions.

Processing of orders
1. Credit and debit cards are debited on the day of despatch by Designs on Pine to you, the customer, except in the case of personalised items or made to measure items (see 2 below). Any credit/debit card used must also be accompanied by a valid postcode and (if applicable) house number. No order will be accepted whereby the credit/debit card details do not all match. Whilst we will try to inform you should a credit/debit card not be authorised for any reason, it is for you the customer to ensure that any card used is valid.
2. In the case of personalised or made to order items the card details will be debited prior to the item being personalised/made to measure.
3. We aim to despatch all stock items within 48 hours of receipt by us but you should allow 5 working days during busy periods.
4. Every purchase you make as a customer shall be deemed performed in Scots Law. Scots Law shall govern every aspect of any contractual agreement concerning any purchase from Designs on Pine.

Delivery
5. Goods will be sent to the address as stated on your order. A signature may be required depending on the size of the parcel and we do not enter into negotiations to have parcels re-delivered should you be unavailable to take delivery.
6. Title to all products remains with Designs on Pine until full payment has cleared.
7. All delivery charges are for UK mainland and overseas orders may be subject to higher postal charges. We will advise by e-mail if additional postage requires to be charged. Designs on Pine is not responsible for any duties or taxes which may be imposed should goods be purchased from overseas. Any such charges will be borne by you, the customer.

Refunds or Exchanges on Standard Goods
8. You may cancel your order at any time prior to your order being processed by contacting us via the contact us page on the web site.
9. If your goods have already been despatched then you have 7 days from the date of despatch to cancel the order. You must, in the first instance, e-mail us via the contact us page giving the reason for cancellation. Thereafter you will require to return the goods to us in their original, unopened condition within 7 days of the goods having been despatched by us. On receipt, we will examine the goods to ensure they are in an unspoilt condition and credit your account with the goods amount. No postal charges will be refunded and goods must be returned at your expense and at your risk, preferably by recorded delivery. We reserve the right to refuse to refund or to refund a reduced amount should the goods not be returned in mint condition.
10. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged on receipt you will require to e-mail no later than 48 hours from receipt of the goods giving a full description of the damage along with details of any damage to packaging, etc. We would also ask that all original packaging is retained and used for returning the goods to Designs on Pine. You will also require to return the goods within a period of 7 working days whereby on receipt by us, and assuming the damage is, as stated, a replacement or refund will be offered. We will reimburse all postage costs incurred by you ONLY if the damage is as stated on your e-mail notification of said damage. If the goods returned are inappropriately packaged and indeed incur further damage whilst being returned we reserve the right to withhold return postage costs. You are responsible for returning the goods to Designs on Pine.
11. In the event an item is sent in error or is not as described you must, in the first instance, e-mail us via the contact us page giving full details. Thereafter you will require to return the goods to us within 7 days in their original, unopened condition whereby on satisfactory receipt by us we will refund return postage charges incurred by you and either (i) refund the cost of the goods including the original postal charges incurred or (ii) send a replacement item of the same value.

Refunds on Personalised/Made to Order Goods
12. No order can be cancelled at any time on personalised or made to order goods.
13. All personalised/made to order goods are checked prior to despatch. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged on receipt you will require to e-mail via the contact us page on the day of receipt and certainly no later than 48 hours from receipt of the goods giving a full description of the damage. You will also require to return the goods to Designs on Pine within a period of 7 working days whereby on receipt by us, and assuming the d is, as stated, a replacement will be offered. Due to the nature of the product we do not offer refunds on personalised/made to order goods.
14. In the case of an error on our part with regard to personalised items we will put this right on return of the goods at our expense. Should you have made an error then we will do what we can to assist in putting this right. We do however reserve the right to make a charge for this service as well as the additional postal charges.
